Breaking News Contributor

 

Pocket Full of Liberty is looking to expand our team, as we add a “Breaking News” Contributor!

As the site has grown, since it’s inception in March, 2013, we have become a regular stopping point on the web, for a rapidly expanding readership base. As we look to offer more opinion and content to the conversation on culture, as it intersects with politics, we are seeking an individual to update the site several times throughout the day, as news stories break.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be available during the day (as a general rule), to post news stories as they break. We estimate 5-10 quick posts daily. With 2014 being a big election year there will be plenty of stories that need to be seen.

• Have a working knowledge of WordPress (This is a plus but not necessary)

• Have excellent grammar and spelling skills to compose posts featuring a basic sentence of summary,  a block quote/link from a reputable news source on the story, and an appropriate photo to the topic.

We can’t promise you pay but we can promise you many accolades and Neal Dewing will give you the best drink recipes you can find anywhere!
