Two Men Address The Murder of James Foley. One Stands Out As A Leader, The Other Is Obama

Early this morning as reports of the beheading of American journalist James Foley by ISIS terrorists swept across the internet – one man addressed his country and showed himself to be a leader.

Shocking absolutely no one, that man was NOT Barack Obama.

Obama was briefed about Foley’s murder by Ben Rhodes (of Benghazi talking point fame), while returning to Martha’s Vineyard aboard Air Force One last night.  Instead of releasing a statement and addressing a shocked and saddened nation he pivoted directly to partying and golf – because, YOLO.   He is nothing if not predictable.

In contrast, upon hearing about Foley’s murder, David Cameron, PM of Great Britain, called the murder shocking and depraved.”  Don’t get me wrong, Obama finally gave a (pre-golf) speech this afternoon calling Foley’s murder “appalling” and referring to ISIS as “a cancer” that “has no place in the 21st century.”  The difference lies in their actions after the comments.

Cameron cancelled the rest of his vacation and headed back to London, as a leader of a nation should.   Obama said, meh and went straight to the golf course.

Literally…

Bottom line – Obama is an embarrassment.  It has become quite clear that he only wanted the perks of Presidency (the golf, the taxpayer paid multi-million dollar vacations, the celebrity) – but not the responsibilities.  Never the responsibilities.
